Last weekend the EFTTEX took place in Budapest (Hungary), the annual trade show organised by the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association (EFTTA).

Like every year a competition for best new products was organised.For the 3rd consecutive time. Shimano was honoured with the award for Best New Spinning Reel, for the Stella SW. In 2008 Shimano received this award for the Aero Technium Mgs XSA and in 2007 for the Stella FD.

The EFTTEX jury commended that the Stella SW is "Built to last". Also in other categories Shimano was succesfull and is proud to be the Runner Up for the Diaflash XT-A Spinning (category Best New Non-Fly Rod) and Curado E (Best New Baitcasting Reel).

Add to this, the one piece bail wire sits on a chrome alloy bail arm that resists line cuts. This oversized line roller is secured to the bail arm via a primary and secondary locking system to completely eliminate the possibility of working loose due to boat vibrations. New Aldebaran Baitcast Magnesium reel was evolved from the outgoing Scorpion Mg series.The design concept was to have a compact featherweight reel & the Aldebaran achieved that objective with an incredible 155gram weight! Spool diameter was also reduced to 32mm, lightest & smallest in Shimano Baitcast range so that frame design could be as low profile as possible & longer free spins could be achieved with its lightweight Magnesium spool. The sky’s the limit & the designers at Shimano did just that & they are able to breakthrough & come out with a New Conquest DC 200/201 series reels to further enhance its position in the DC Baitcasting category. This new reel has a host of improvement made to it to be ahead of the race.

Enhanced Low Profile Design of this reel sitting 2.3cm lower than the conventional Conquest DC reel which resulted in a more low profile position for a comfortable grip for the Lure angler with the purpose of reducing casting fatigue.

Improved Line Capacity of this reel to be same as Conquest DC 250 but size remains the same.
Besides the 8 standard casting setting found in the existing Calcutta Conquest range, 3 additional setting for line used compliments the existing features for optimum performance. These additional 3 setting are introduced with the purpose of obtaining the most optimum cast.
N setting is used when the reel is spooled with PE or Nylon line, this setting is ideal for Topwater Lure, minnow or crankbait.

Based on the ever popular Dendoumaru 4000HP model, this new model has higher specs & features to satisfy the discerning deep sea angler. New Dendoumaru Beastmaster reel have improve winding force of 54kg (525N) & a faster retrieve speed of 180metres per minute. Maximum drag force was beef up to 20kg for better fish fights.
