The DeepGame is a high-load general-purpose model that has the power and tenacity to catch large fish by lightly performing jerking operations using large weights with a 7:3 taper. Its characteristics are created by tightening the blanks (a fusion of carbon and glass) with Spiral X wrapping technology. In addition, the reel seat uses a fitting support CI4+ seat with a long nut that is easy to tighten.
Excellent grip performance and secure fixation of large reels
By using SHIMANO's original material CI4+ and hand-friendly EVA material for the grip portion, a lightweight reel seat with high fitting performance is realized. The long nut specification is easy to tighten and can firmly secure even large reels. The butt end is a separate type for slimmer design.
Excellent fixation force to the rod holder
The use of light and strong aluminum material provides excellent anchoring force to the rod holder. It is also safe for high-loaded traps and large fish.
Through its exclusive lightweight structure, Shimano's patented Spiral X construction enhances catching power for anglers. Spiral X construction consists of three layers: a middle layer of vertical fibers as well as inner and outer layers, both comprised of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions. By using this carbon tape in place of a conventional horizontal fiber sheet, Spiral X achieves enhanced compression rigidity and increased torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This in turn facilitates instant power transmission for precise casting and fish fighting.
CI4 is a Shimano original material reinforced with carbon fiber that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material and is 2.5x more rigid than its predecessor. While improving lightness and rigidity, reel bodies, rotors and reel seats built with CI4+ are further reduced in size and weight.
